Product Description
Silicone umbrella valves are used as backflow preventers or as a one-way or check valve, as a sealing element in exhaust or pressure reducing valves and in metering valves. When installed on the valve seat, the convex diaphragm flattens the valve seat, absorbs a certain amount of valve seat unevenness, and generates a certain sealing force. Once the head pressure creates enough force to lift the male diaphragm off the seat, the umbrella valve will allow forward flow, so it will allow flow at a predetermined pressure in one way and immediately prevent backflow in the opposite way.
